Digital Marketing Specialist


The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing paid digital media strategy serving Rocket Launch clients in various industries. This position will work in partnership with the marketing and PR teams to craft integrated campaigns with measurable outcomes encompassing (but not limited to) paid search, social media, and display advertising.

Candidates should have an academic background in marketing, advertising or communications and demonstrated hands-on experience managing a diverse variety of digital campaigns. This is a full-time, in-house position in Orange, CA.

The Ideal Candidate should have:
  • Bachelor’s degree and an academic background in marketing, advertising or communications.
  • 3-5 years hands-on experience building and managing digital advertising campaigns including search, social and display for companies in various industries. Agency experience preferred.
  • Experience managing lead generation, SEO, and/or multi-platform digital campaigns will be strongly considered.
  • Experience with landing page optimization and content management systems.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising ecosystem including online and offline tracking and measurement.
  • Experience managing and executing marketing budgets for paid media channels.
  • Ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and understandable way and to present to different audiences including clients and agency leadership.
  • Ability to perform competitive analysis and develop strategic plans.
  • Proficiency in leading and managing relationships with outside vendors and agencies.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, spreadsheet-driven data analysis and the ability to create clear and effective presentations.
  • Excellent project management skills, self-starter with the ability to self-manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Effective at setting clear expectations around timelines, deliverables and outcomes.
  • Critical thinker with attention to detail, proactive attitude and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment where everyone is expected to be hands-on.


  • Build thoughtful and detailed digital advertising strategies for Rocket Launch clients that are synergistic with other marketing and PR plan elements.
  • Develop campaigns for search, social and display (primarily, but not limited to), manage budgets and fulfillment, and oversee testing and optimization.
  • Leverage all optimization levers that will help ensure success. Including keyword & match type selection, audiences, ad assets, campaign types, bidding strategies, etc.
  • Analyze campaign analytics and offline performance data to uncover actionable insights.
  • Work with client account teams to help identify optimal cross-channel strategies and leverage other marketing and PR activities wherever possible.
  • Develop, measure, monitor and track all related KPIs and understand their importance to the comprehensive marketing plan.
  • Ensure channel benchmarks are being met or exceeded, and use insights to identify areas for growth or improvement.
  • Work with technical teams to ensure proper tracking and measurement across all marketing channels. Includes implementation of floodlights, vendor pixels, cross-channel tracking tools and reporting.
  • Deliver occasional strategy presentations and counsel to clients and agency leadership, and assist with new client research and pitches.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on client projects including media planning, creative, PR, content, and market research
