Rocket Launch was honored with three awards at 59th Annual PRSA Los Angeles PRism Awards!
The Rocket Launch Crew blasted off to the Los Angeles River Center & Gardens on October 26, 2023, to celebrate excellence in public relations strategic campaigns, tactical programs and professional merit at PRSA-LA’s 59th PRism Awards, the Los Angeles region’s premier awards program. The trip made it the second consecutive year Rocket Launch was in attendance, winning a PRism award and Best Overall for media relations support at last year’s event.
This year, Rocket Launch was named a finalist in two categories: events and observances and media relations in support of the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) for its celebratory 10th Annual Blue Diamond Gala at Dodger Stadium. The star-studded, blue carpet affair raised money for LADF’s initiatives and programs to tackle the most pressing issues facing Angelenos, including education, health care, homelessness and social justice.
Rocket Launch’s work on the Blue Diamond Gala from March through July 2023 resulted in more than 3 billion online impressions and a total broadcast audience of more than 3 million that saw LADF featured in local and national media, including Access Hollywood, The Hollywood Reporter, People Magazine and more.
With cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at the ready, and PR pros awaiting results, the evening’s host, NBC4 LA’s Jonothan Gonzalez, announced the winners across more than 45 categories for the coveted PRism Award and Award of Excellence. According to PRSA-LA, hundreds of entries are received annually from agencies, corporate, nonprofit and independent practitioners in the public relations profession in and around the Los Angeles area.
By the end of the night, Rocket Launch was honored with three awards for its work on LADF’s Blue Diamond Gala:
- Best Overall in Events & Observances
- PRism Award in Events & Observances – Nonprofit
- Award of Excellence in Media Relations – Nonprofit
